Karon B. Lacefield
Holistic Wellness Coach
Karon B. Lacefield, my contribution to this organization would be my life’s experience of almost 40 years. In 1982, my husband and I opened a gym named “Shape Up Health and Fitness Center, which we ran for 4 years. We sold our gym after I accepted a position as Fitness/Wellness Director for E’town Swim and Fitness, in Elizabethtown, Ky. As the fitness director, I continued my training and received numerous accredited certifications from AFFA, IDEA, and College of Sports Medicine. As the fitness director, It was my responsibility to train all fitness employees for their certifications.
I competed in bodybuilding for a several years, where I placed each time. I won the title of Ms. Northern Kentucky in 1991 and 1992.
So what lead me to the path of a Holistic Wellness trainer? In my early 40’s my life began to change. I had a severe autoimmune attack, that could not be diagnosed by medical doctors. I also found out I had mitral valve prolapse, borderline diabetes, borderline fibromyalgia, thyroid, adrenal, and hormonal issues. Which eventually lead me to start working with Dr. Tindall. Through lifestyle, dietary changes and the correct supplements, I regained my health!
Today, I believe I am the healthiest I have ever been, now in my 60’s. My journey has taken me into the study of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), ACUPRESSURE, Essential Oil uses and certification, and training in Yoga and Qi Gong, which utilizes stretching and breathing practices to help my clients, especially in the area pain management relief.
Presently, I work as a wellness coach using my 40 years of experience and knowledge to improve the wellness of my clients. I also host my own radio program called “Return to New Life” on Box 2 Radio, Christian Radio 91.5 in Mc Daniels, Ky.
